Dogs & Cats – Parasiticides

Parasiticides help to treat or prevent your pet from getting parasites such as fleas, heartworm, intestinal worms, ear mites, lice, ticks and mange mites.

There are literally hundreds of products available on the market.   Wading through this jungle can be very confusing.  How will you know what to use, what is effective and what isn’t?

We have compiled this table to provide a quick reference of common parasiticides and the parasites that they are effective against.  This table will assist you in choosing the correct flea and parasite control for your dog and cat.  The caring staff at Mitcham Pet Hospital are trained in parasite control.  We can assess your current parasite control program and assist you to develop a program to suit you and your pet’s needs.

Please click on the table below to enlarge it to a readable size. The pdf file size is 194 kB, which will take about 30 seconds to download on a 56K connection.
